NX nitrous and Hypereutectic Pistons
NX nitrous and Hypereutectic Pistons
Can I safely run NX nitrous (150HP) with Hypereutectic pistons?? Someone told me my pistons would turn to dust. Is anyone doing this combo now?? Thanx

yo!! my engine had 142,000 on the clock with 5,000 of that with a 150hp nitrous and they looked perfect when ipulled the motor apart!!! they were stock l98's

There shouldn't be any problem with the pistons at 150 HP unless your engine is detonating.

YO!!! The first post said hypereutectic pistons not stock. And how exactly do you know that you ran 5,000 miles on nitrous?? Did you have a different odo for when you used n20?

I think he meant 5k miles while the n2o was hooked up to his car 
but, as far as my setup.. I'm running 53psi fuel pressure.
I have a WOT switch, FPSS, and a window switch.
For fuel pumps, I'm running an intank walbro 255 pump, with an inline Vortech T-Rex pump.

I ran 100 shot in my stock 305 and used up 25 15lb bottles. I ran the NX wet system with WOT switch, FPSS, no window switch. I run 42 FP at idle and 52 @ WOT. My FP guage has hi/lo mem and never dropped below the 42 lbs ever and the FPSS is set at 40lbs. All good safe tolerances. I started floggin the motor at 90+k miles and the motor ended like this with 140+k miles
If you can get forged pistons if not I'd say 150 is pushing it.
