Using TB as an after cooler.
For those of us running TPI with a non-inter/after cooled s/c, ever think of running a small electric pump, mini radiator, hooked up the the TB where the cooling system goes (where most of us disconnected it) ? I'd think it would help cool the air charge a little.
I'm not looking at increasing air volume, just preventing a hot air charge..
What do you guys think? Might not even need a radiator, maybe just a small bottle and a pump.. hrmm.

For it to be even REMOTELY useful, you would have to have small tubes packed into the inlets before the throttle blades and then circulate water through them.
83xfire is right.
Heat exchangers work on surface area. Look at a radiator or condensor core.

I see.. Well I understand the heat exchanger architecture of a radiator, I just thought the coolant passages would be good enough in the throttle body, and the effect would be similar to the cooling of a cyl. head.. Guess not.
Thanks guys!
Guido, Hows the car coming?

Try running regulated CO2 threw the coolant passage. Works real well for a quick cool, just dont shoot it into the engine.
I am curious if this has any ET potential considering the small surface area it comes into contact with.
