Trans Cooler post install questions

Just installed the B&M 16k gvw super cooler in my 91 L98 and noticed some strange things. I mounted it on the condensor right in front of the fan so it would pull air through it when on, and have it going to the rad first and then to the cooler. Here is my question: After the install, my shifts got more sloppy than they were before.........Very strange. So I figured it could be a difference in the trans fluid amount now that some of the fluid sits in the cooler. I reset the TV cable and the shifts are back to normal. I checked the fluid level and it does not seem that I have to add more so I am not sure if this was normal behavior or not. I did not drive the car around long enough to see if the shifts are more consistent even when hot but it seems to be less sluggish when warm. Thanks for reading and let me know what you think.

You will for sure have to add a little fluid to compensate for the cooler. Did you check the level with the car warm and running?
