the best tire for handling 400 hp is a DOT legal bias ply not a radial.
go with the hoosier tires. my friend has the hoosier slicks on his 84 mustang with a 351W in it and he said that they hook better then the goodyears he had. even though those are slicks and not DOT approved tires, any hoosier tire im sure hooks good. oh yeah the car he has runs 11.7 in the 1/4

he was asking about hoosier radials, the hoosier "quick time" or "quick time pros" are probably what your friend has

I got nitto's and run them at 18psi. I also have 551 lbs of tq at the wheels. I couldn't break em' loose sprayin in 1st.
I haven't tried the hoosiers. I like the nitto's b/c I can still drive it to work every day of the week. And I do, cuz its the only car I got.
PS - 361 rwhp

Wow. That is awsome that you can use them every day.
I have seen others do this too.
Think I will go with these.
Do they get much wear using them daily?
Thanks.

I have nitto 555R's and also this car is a daily driver. they work well warmed up and w/ lowered air pressure for traction, but also i can drive it to work every day. it isn't even that bad in the rain. a hell of a lot better than a daily driver w/ slicks. lol.
