Congratulations on some excellent times n/a and on the juice Joseph.
I have one question for you if you don't mind. Have you performed any weight reductions on the GTA? Or did you just overpower it
I have an '89 still pretty much stock L98 with a 150 shot. This little girl is REALLY heavy though.
Anyway, I know that these times represent a lot of time, blood, sweat and tears so congrats again!

I didn't do too much weight reduction. I removed the rear seats, pulled the spare tire and jack out, had under a 1/4 tank of gas. If this is any kind of weight reduction, then consider it so........aluminum heads, aluminum water pump, and aluminum radiator. I also weighed the car at the track. It's 3,700 lbs with me in it (I'm 175 lbs). It's still a heavy car. Good enough to turn 11's for a fully streetable car

Exellent. Thanks for the response.
That is somewhat encouraging. Mine is 3850 with me in it but I have a big sub box in the back.
Maybe I'll go on a diet when I do the build up this winter
Enjoy!

I'm one of those "hope to be in the 11's"
I run 12.45 @ 109. I plan on hitting 11's w/ my LT1 intake and the CC306 cam. On the same 100 shot.
Anybody got a 11 sec. daily driver?

Many people don't believe me till I show them the slips
I still have the heat and A/C, and all the factory options that were originally in the GTA. It takes me to school and work everyday. That's why I'm shying away from a roll bar. I'll have no place to put my groceries
190,000 miles on the clock and it's my only vehicle
Joseph Andres, which crane cam do you have? I'm running a 355 with TRW pistons, ported edlebrock heads and an accell superram with an edlebrock base, headman LT's with true dual 40 series flowmasters. My cam is a powermax 226/234, 114LS. I'm hoping to bust off some 11's with a 100 shot

I will have no problem getting a high 11 sec pass (all motor), I'm just finishing up the new motor (in sig.) at the moment. I hate waiting on back ordered parts! Fastest ET to date : 12.94 @ 108mph on a G-tech. As soon as I get 500 miles on the beast, I'll scan and post the new timeslips. Although I have no power adders, the car is light and I have alot more work in my combo than I cared to post in my sig. Eventually, I hope to be in the 10's when I get the dough to put gas on the car!
Joseph Andres, I have run in the 10's with my last setup, and I am shooting for mid 9's with this new combo. My cage is custom made by Rhodes Custom Auto, located here in Delaware. They make some of the worlds finest bars and cages. All custom made, in chromoly or mild steel, your choice. I figure you only do it once, mite as well do it right!
