Turbo Question

I was at my local dealer auction yesterday and had the chance to bid on a few turbo cars. I was just thinking it might be fun to play around when we are slow at the shop. My question is, what stock turbo's should I look for? At the auction I could of bid on a 90 intercooled turbo ford probe for 50.00 or a 89 intercooled turbo Volvo for 50.00. The volvo had an intercooler the size of an F-body radiator. I have done a lot of superchargers but never turbo's but i just thought one of the 305 fbodies sitting around could use one. Are either of these turbo's any good. What cars should I be looking for? If I know what to look for I could pick up a few cars and have some fun.

We just sold our RED/Silver 1986 T/A last night to a new home in PA but this morning we received a call that we won a closed bid auction for a Black 1991 350 Z/28. One gone but a new one took its place, that was close.

Garret or IHI T3's off Ford Turbo Coupes or SVO's seem to work pretty well (or so I've read). Get the IC off that Volco if you can ... matches up with a single T3 pretty well (130-160 cfm). Maybe get two of em and weld em together (and make some fins hehe) if you wanna go twin.
