1988 gta stroked and blown
Hey boys and girls. I have an idea for my car and i want some feedback from anyone who may have expirience with this. I want to put my gta into the low 11s possibly the high 10s. I want to still use a small block v8 with fuel injection. I plan on doing this with the help of a supercharger. I want people to start respecting these cars and not looking at them as over bloated pigs. I want to instill fear in the harts of ricers everywhere. Imagine the look on the little weiners face when I offload with 600 plus horsepower into a wheelstand leaving the line.
Just to get that reaction once, i will sink everything ive got into this car. I feel that strongly about this project. It will be a purpose built car. It will be designed to go fast and strainght!
My questions are as follows. With a blown 383 what type of fuel system and computer upgrades should i expect to need. I will handle the shortblock assembly but i havent the foggiest on what i will need in the way of fuel to support that power level. With a carb it wouldnt be so bad......been there done that. EFI now thats another story. Please advise. I will post pictures once i begin. Thanks all. Take care

It sounds like my engine.......
You could get a aftermarket ECM, speedpro or DFI 7.0 but they cost alot of money.
I'm planning on running my stock ECM and have a FMU control the fuel under boost. If its not enough I was thinking of getting a superfueler instead of the FMU..........
