D-1sc good enough?

I'm kinda locked into this thing now because I own it so suggesting F-1 this or YS-trim now cant help me. If I spin a D-1sc to its safe max rpm, will it be to small for a 415 cid, or should I build it smaller (389 cid)? What kind of boost could I expect on a good flowing motor? I watched a really spun s-trim vortech produce poor boost levels on a 383 LT4 with big (220+cc) AFR heads and now I am wondering.

according to ati their chargers were designed for big blocks so small blocks are no prob, vortech is crap because of their low maximum rpm of their cast impellers ati uses billet that withstand over 80,000 rpm (according to them)

Do you believe everything you read, or are you speaking from experience?

I had an S-trim Vortech that was pullied for 15 lbs on a 5.0 Mustang, and never had a problem. You can't always believe manufacturer's hype.

I saw there was a guy with a bird that had a P600 with a tiny pulley putting out massive boost with no probs too. The whole reason Im asking is because I have a newer P1sc now and for $1k they will upgrade it to a D1sc (they share major parts). I am actually going to shrink my original 415 down to 390 to try to help efficiency.
