I tack welded them together myself in my garage and had a guy at work finish TIG welding them. I didnt know how to TIG at the time, but I do now and will be doing a set of headers for my friend Jerry's 93 Z28 Buick V6 twin turbo this winter.

Just a basic air-air using Spearco's largest core....Here's an old picture from my dyno testing/tuning which gives the clearest view of it's plumbing.

Monty, is the oval ducting coming out of the throttle body aluminum or steel? Where did you get it? Anyone know a good source for aluminum circular pipe as well? Thanks

Burns has a good selection of aluminum pipe, see the link in someones previous post, and another good source of stainless is www.stainlessworks.net

It's .065" 6061 aluminum 4" diameter pipe. It was originally circular, but I ovaled it by flattening it between two pieces of plywood to match up with the oval shaped throttle body and the opening to the intercooler we made. I bought the tubing though Burn's Stainless or Specialty Products Design, don't remember which, but both sell it.

2 air-air intercoolers

These were made by Behr in germany for the Callaway "The Speiss"project.

They have carbon fiber end tanks.

Two of these intercoolers
will be going here and on other side as well. :lala:
can see the other side where intercooler will be going (stainless headers are on now these are the mock up headers i had made so a jig could be made )

Tubing will go from the turbos down to intercooler bottom through then to intake Not much tubing will be killed in the use of the system

Cant wait to finially have a done car weeeeeeeeeeee picking it up next week hopefully

They certainly did Monty, thanks for pointing me to them. (probably already did that but can't thank you enough)

I didn't know that they were made in Germany either untill I asked Reeves Callaway himself and he told me. He was pretty surprised to see that I had those puppies

i know a bit off topic but, can you make front air-air intercoolers setup like th eimport guys have... in the front of the car? You'd think it would be more efficient I think it looks sweet to see a big intercooler in the front tucked away nicely.

anyone???
