305 Stealth Ram Super Charged??
ok, i was wondering what would be the best supercharger for around 2500$, to work with a 305 Stealth Ram. I am looking into converting my motor over to a stealth ram and i was wondering what kind of power i could see from probably Headman Longtubes, Super Charger(but i need to know which one would be best), I would also need to know what the best blower cam would be best for me to use, since i would be installing it before i saved up for a S/C and would need to atleast work better than the stock cam without it. It is a 91 305 Roller motor with stock heads on it.
If anyone has any combos like this, i would like to hear about them too,
Thanks in Advane,
Levi

find a new/used ATI p600B with 2 core (PS: I would consider the stock TPI when blowing on a 305)

I was planning on doing the others first because i want to have the stealth ram for probably about 6 months before i super charge it, I want to have it on there before thirdgen nationals. Plus the tpi setup i have access to the runners arent in that good of shape, and i figure better power atleast before i get the supercharger, and probably agian when i upgrade to a 350. That is my basic reasoning for getting the stealth ram

I see then maybe a P1sc would be more your speed if you intend to make a bigger motor later. if you just want a tiny blower then consider a A-trim kit (about as good as old paxtons) they are very affordable new even. the other option is to save up a couple hundred more and get this real S-trim kit http://www.vortechsuperchargers.com/...tegory_Code=SS

I must admit I am actually kinda surprised by the sucess Ive seen people have without intercooler, and using that vortech kit actually...
I second that Tom. The previous owner of my 91z installed the Vortech S-Trim (V1) on the stock L98 when it had 74,000 miles. Now the engine has 112,000 miles and its still running strong. I just cant believe it lasted that long with no intercoolers or anything. I know its pushing it beyond the 'safe limit.' For now I've decided to build the top end and work on the intercooler(s). I dont want to turn the boost up untill I make the drivetrain stronger. I'm thinking about trying to adapt the ATI twin-intercooler setup to the Vortech. But I havent really looked into it yet, just an idea.
lbrohez, I too plan to change the intake on my setup. I am still undecided on what route to take ... SuperRam, StealthRam, or LT1 Intake. I still need to do alot of research. The reason I want to change it is because the car will be getting a T56 and I think having more top end power will work out better with the 6 speed gear ratios and my style of driving. TPI is awesome for torque, and I would most likely keep it if I was sticking with an auto and wanted to drag race. But thats not the case ... I want to build my car for roadracing and the occasional freeway race.
