Contemplating TT 305

Before I get the "Do a search". I've done quite a bit of researching, but havent found very much helpful info regarding stock bottom end on a 305.

I have an 1982 Z-28 CFI.

First off, I want you guys to know, I'm just thinking of this idea. I've gone from vortec 350 + nitrous, to 383 + nitrous, to 454 BB + nitrous to, 350 twin turbo to whatever else there is hehe.

But what I am wondering is mainly about pistons. I plan on putting in new rings, hone the block, get valves adjusted, minor port work on heads/intake. I know it'd be best to get some nice forged pistons in her, by this is the "junkyard" setup, the cheapest of cheap, and I'm willing to not run as much boost this year to conserve as much money as possible.

Also, the setup I am going with will hopefully be.

Stock heads - Ported
Edelbrock Performer RPM - Ported
Holley 600cfm - Already have it, make it blow-through carb (Or whatever you call it for forced induction)
Stock bottom end
Probably 2 IHI's but possibly 2 t3s from mopar turbo 1 engines
TH-350
And hopefully get a posi from a later Iroc-Z if i want any chance of hooking (more suspension mods besides this, but this will be the start of them)

I figure 7-8lbs will be within range with this setup. Everything should be able to withstand the power.

Anyone with experience in forced induction 305's on stock bottom ends please tell me your experiences, did you have any problems? Any major expenses due to breaking things?

Thanks a ton (If there are any threads that you think relate, please post links, like i said i looked, but maybe I missed it)

If you keep the boost at 7-8 psi, stay way out of detonation, and use ARP studs all around you should be able to pull it off with hypereutectic pistons. That's what I was planning for my 305. By the way, I've got two IHI turbos in good condition as well as an intercooler from a SAAB for sale if you're interested. I've stepped up to a 383 and a single turbo blow through carb rig, so I don't have a use for them. Just in case you're interested; I'm in Virginia Beach.

My email

Good luck with it!
Steve

[EDIT: LOL - I just reread your message and see that you're looking for a posi rear; I've got one of those too. A posi disc brake 9 bolt with 3:45's (?IIRC - three forty somethings anyway) that I swapped out of my '88 TA. All of this stuff is just sitting in storage.)
