Saturn, just wanted to give you a huge 2 thumbs up! Looks very well planned out, and just clean. Gotta love boost. I prefer the other form of charging myself, the turbine driven kind, but any force fed DIY project gets props in my book, and your just looks amazing.

As for the other guy of topic, man that is just sad....

Build looks like..

Late roller block, splayed caps, crank adapter (have)
DZ large journal crank, with rods turned down to small journal and destoked .050".
6" carillo rods. (Joe Gibbs racing)(have)
TRW 2441.030 pistons.(have)
Ported stock heads.. for now(have)
reworked TPI intake.(have)
42lb SVO injectors

You know what? I tried to nicely gide your foolish comment to smarten you up, but you really haven't got as clue as how to deal with everyday life, and your childish comment are bringing you down faster and faster. You've dug your own grave here and no one is going to want to help you now. Calling people **** just makes you look more foolish then you already did. Your history now, and nothing but. Your on you way down the beaten path. Why did you come back and stir up this post again?? You only proving that you are a troll with no real knowledge about cars at all.

I vote to evict "kidrcth"

yep, having a high iq must mean that you can drag race, im sure that if bill gates hopped in a third gen he would cut a .5 r/t and a sub 1.5 60 ft cause hes so smart and experience has nothing to do with drag racing i knew a lot about drag racing too when i was 16, i did it on the street like an *** and risked my life and the lives of all the grandmas and dads with little kids coming home from getting ice cream. i want one of those not fiberglass corvettes too, all that extra weight must help with traction were is the mod for this board?, what kidrcth is doin is a waste of server and im sure saturn5 wants this thread for actual discussion of his wicked awsome ride:hail:

*** man you guys are way to serious. I got it now about what you guys were saying about the tires ok..... and plus after i realised what you were talking about i was just kidding. Man you guys are like my mom once you **** her off you cant do anything fun anymore. Alright from you guys i did learn a couple of things but that was it, the sidewall i knew but the rim size i didn't, and uh.. odds and ends.

and one tips before you guys blow over again.... when someone with half a brain starts to sound tooo stupid to be human they are usually jokeing. only in the movies are they not.

I may not know everyway there is to make a car go faster but my point was that when his signature said "traction what traction"..... i was only thinking he needed traction ya know. So if you guys need an apoligy here it is, i'm sorry you guys. But you have to admit it was kinda giving you something todo during them minutes.

And if anyone wants to dis my fur headliner they can goto hell, but atleast first check it out it is actually quite cool, goto
https://www.thirdgen.org/techbb2/sho...5&goto=newpost ..... i did it myself and it is a quality job. make fun of it all you want but in the end we are all thirggeners. ok guys.

peace

Apparently you missed the joke.. "traction? what traction?" I thought was fairly obvious.. but whatever..

Your headliner being cool is another matter, but you seem to like it, which in the end is what matters.. though I wouldn't be seen within 3 blocks of it.. to each his own..

peace b00b..

I agree. the unfisihed look is sweet! Mine too is primer grey. Plus all go no show is a first in my eyes. I'll go for show afterwards. Saturn definatley has a awesome setup. He knows I have been watching his progress for some time now. I was thinking of going a similar setup, but decided to go with the 150 HP shot of NOS for now, but once my 406 SBC is finished and then adding a 200hp shot of NOS, I too will be seeking some traction. With over 700hp and 600ft lbs of torq, it will be hard to find. Keep us posted Saturn as how things go. Being your car is on the same platform as mine, we can share our findings in the search for traction.

I've mini tubbed and notched the frame.. going to stick some 295/0/15 on 10" wide draglites sooner of later.

I'm currently finishing a freind's car.. Just stuffed 285/40/17's on 9.5" ZR1 rims on it..

Yeah I am planning on the 295/50/16 for my SS as I know it will need the height to get some grip, and at the same time let her get to the trap a little bit better...I hope. Once done if I can't get enough traction it will be Tubb time. But I was thinking around a 15" wide tire in the back to keep her down. My one friend is experamenting with a 12 bolt rear for me right now, cause I know my poor little 7.5" is going to beg for mercy right away. But this will all be next fall some time. I have to finish one step at a time. Plus as the insufficient parts break, I have an excuse for the wife to buy the better parts..

I guess you didn't read his sig completely as it says right in the first line "80 Malibu" Plus his pics don't look anything like a Thirdgen.

LOL!!!! Yeah good point! Red...Green eh? I wonder if kidrcth uses alot of duct tape when building his hot rods?? Do you kidrcth? 158 IQ?? I dont' know about that, has I did a search on his username, not only does he stir alot of BS, but either he can't type very well or he can't spell if his life depended on it! And his grammar isn't to great either as his punctiation is terrible! Sorry kidrcth you should of never said anything about IQ crap. I would never claim to be really smart, nor really stupid, cause the minute you claim one, your found to be the other really fast.

Swap the lower mounts, and spring seats, add SSM's new adjustable upper arms.. bingo.. G-body 12 bolt. Remember that all 12 bolts are wider than the original 7.5. The 68-72 chevelle IIRC is 4" wider than the 7.5. With a frame notch and mini tub, is close to 8.5" from hub to frame. Opens all sorts of rim oppertunities..

Yeah that is actaully why I like the idea of a 12 bolt. With me using the 92 Z28 rims I had to use a 2" spacer on both sides to clear the frame rails, with the 12 botl I won't have to worry about spacers anymore. The rear I have is infact out of a 69 Chevelle. But I am debating on going with a ture 4 link suspension on her, that is what my friend is playing with. Just not to sure as to what gears to use yet. I am saving up the $$ right now for my Trans brake, and my th350 already has hardened input and output shafts to handlet he blow when she hits. Going to lift the front end I believe... I can't wait.

d00d, man, i swear if i knew you you wouldn't be lauhging anymore(i'll let you you decide why). but anyways wth does duct tape have todo with anythin, the only post i used duct tape on was my headliner. And if your trying to say i missspelled that word it is duct tape. Plus noone ever said you have to be propper when typing on the net.

and what you said would mean if i say i'm really stupid, then you would think i'm a genious. How stupid of a comment can you make.

as for you other ideots i'm not color blind, but i though that was like a modle or something, but before now i didn't know what a malibu was.

and if you must know i am in one of the highest rated schools the the city of jacksonville. I get in the 90s% rank on all my stanine tests, so eat what you say but dont choke on it.

Unless your going 9.90's... the stock setup works fairly well. Plenty of 10 sec cars running "stock" style suspension. On 10.5 tires.

I wouldn't worry about it unless you plan a full tub.. then I can see a true 4 link..

Now don't get your panties in a bunch....

While you may not care, how you present yourself, determines for many, how and what you get in return.

Hehe.. The Malibu is 7 years OLDER than you.. It was dropped in 82 in favor of the Monte Carlo. (ribbing Kaz)

Congrats on your scores.. but from what I have seen of tests.. (and I seen them) they are so simple that a fifth grader from the 50's could have passed it. Don't feel bad, the standards have been going down for decades.. For reasons I won't argue out here.

LOL! Now your threating me..LOL!!! You never learn, BTW I am 6' and 260lbs, an there isnt' much fat. My young 16 year old tough guy...LOL!! Stop while your ahead!

Back to the real topic.....

Yeah Saturn your right, but once I do get this 406 built, then adding at least an extra 200hp with the NOS, I may even get to around the 9's if I get lucky. I am actually just looking into the Crank and rotating assembly right now. Scat 4340 assembly. 3.750' stroke with a 5.7" rod and a 4.155" piston. I was thinking of going with the 6" rod, but to many clearance problems to deal with. This setup that I am looking at will cost me about $1900 Canadian, being $1419 US, so I will have to save my pennnies to get there.

At that point you may be better with a true tub and narrowed rear. Thats more than I have messed with. Slip by www.maliburacing.com if you don't already. Lots of hardcore drag guys, big block cars and all.. lots of good tech and banter on the forums.

Hahaha, this is too funny, or for our spelling challenged members funie, or how about phuny, naw that's just phoney.

Proper english makes understanding so much easier, and makes you look like you may actually be trying to help....bah, I should stop right now, before I go over the line.....

I had no idea you used duct tape on your headliner...it was a joke,, "Red Green" in Saturns post. Is actaully a Canadain comedy "The Red Green Show" about two hicks in upper Canada who are technically challenged and use Duct tape to fix everything they come across, so get your panties out of a bunch!
