port timing for a turbo motor

trying to figure out good valve timing for a turbo motor so it spools quickly and has good mid to high rpm flow

I am guessing it would still be best to oppen the ports as quick as I can but would it help to make the closing of the intake and exhuast a little slower rather then just slamming them shut_

Not really. You're going to get bad scavenging no matter what. The engine is experiencing a pumping loss because of the exhaust manifold pressure. Faster ramp rates on cams is almost always better performance. Boosting only increases air density. It doesn't help flow, so a cam that performs well NA will perform about the exact same boosted, only it'll make bigger numbers. The only thing cam grinders worry about for boosted engines is the center line so you don't waste energy by either blowing cold air into the exhaust or backing hot air into the intake. Ram effect still takes place on boosted engines, it's just that most tuners trade that for better compressing effects. If you want to boost faster the only way to do that effectively is by changing blade pitch and number and housing A/R. Or you can dump fuel into the exhaust. Either way works.
