if you get one you may consider getting the NX one, as well as a GEN-II kit from NX, and the switch panel that is offered from them to tie it all together. I have installed a few of these and wow it is nice.

I'm using the NX remote opener.
Very nice product.. (If you have the $$ to spend..)

The NX unit literally opens and closes the bottle valve, where as the NOS one (and other brands) are just a solenoid mounted on the nipple.
You can achieve the same thing as the NOS "opener" for a cheapo $60 nitrous solenoid...

I guess I am running the inferior NOS opener. Install was simple. No probs with function.

I didn't mean for my post to be offensive. From what I've read, people have a lot of problems with the NOS openers leaking.

No prob bud - your post was not offensive. After reading your description I was just giving my opinion. Not offended at all. The NX sounds like a nice piece.
With the bottle mounted in the spare tire area, I just had to have a remote regardless of brand.

I'm trying to find a spot to mount this big 15lb bottle.
I'm almost tempted to see if I can find someone that wants to trade a 10# for my 15#....
Is your bottle a 15# in the spare well? I know you can stuff a 15# & an opener into a 4th gen's spare well. I can't find any info on doing the same in a thirdgen.

Mine is a 10lb bottle. There is a bit more room in there but I have not seen a 15lb bottle up close so I am not sure how much larger it is. I created a bit of a platform to mount the bottle brackets on. It is about 3.5 - 4 inches above the bottom of the well. You could probably go even higher and that would give you even more room.
