NX spray bar in Holley tbi adaptor

I got some extra funds to play around with so I think Im gonna spray the 305 at the end of may assuming dad doesnt veto it. I dont have room to run a carb -> tbi adaptor and a nitrous plate, my air cleaner rubs the hood as it is right now, so I guess I'll try to get a spray bar machined into the holley adaptor.

Where should I get it put? I figured it would either go up directly under where the tbi sits more twards the front of the manifold so I guess it would mix with the air/fuel more evenly? Or directly in the middle of the adaptor in the middle of the manifold?

Picture of how the adaptor sits

Thanks guys.

You are gonna need to put it directly across the holes. Seems like a lot of work to me. Why don't you just save up a little more and get a cowl hood?

I figure the machine work cant be more than $100, if it is I'll forget about the idea all together I reckon. Already have the Holley adaptor and if not I can get another one from PAW for $13 or something. A cowl would be nice but that's about $500 on top of whatever nitrous is gonna cost upfront and I cant spring that.

chuck let me know how that works out, i had the same idea for mine, but i need to wait for some tranny work before i feel ok with spraying.... the way things are going i would spray it the first time, and spit gears through the case.

I have seen people cut up a nitrous plate and notch the top of an intake to put the spray bars in the intake by epoxy/jb welding them permanently in place it worked out real nice too. The divider for the dual plane must be cut down too (best performed with an end mill at a machine shop) the spray bars replace the removed portion of the divider.

What about using one of those low clearance air filters... Might get you the extra inch or two you need..
