OMG! Misinformed info. on 89TTA.......

I was in the archives and found a bunch of post's about the 89 TTA pace car.

Well, I got excited and clicked on a few post's and all the info was sooooo screwy that it made me dumber. I am the proud owner of the 89 TTA pace car and demand some good facts to share with our fellow board members

Here, I will start it.

Total prod. hardtops w/cloth int. 15

Hardtops w/leather int. 24

T-tops w/cloth int. 187

T-tops w/leather int. 1,324
---------------------------------
Window Sticker

------My T-top w/leather car's sticker price was $31,223

----16mpg in town and 24mpg out of town

----------------------------------------------------------
Turbo Hi-tech performance:

0-60 in 4.98 seconds

Dyno testing resulted in 301rwhp

-----------------------------------------------------
I'm sure I will think of more but, just wanting to get it started..

Please post if you want to add anything to this list that is factual or real world.

Thanks,
Bo

Yes thats pretty much the facts. We have TTA #1053 and love it. GM rated it at 250 hp because it fell under the rule that no car can have more HP than the Corvette of the same year. If I can be of any help please let me know.

There is a scanning software link out there Turbolink it is awesome, works off the ALDL and will come with turbo sensing unit. You just supply the laptop

Thanks, Brian
I have a few friend's around me fortunatly, that have 89 TTA's and tuning is key!

One running 11.62 @119 1.58 60ft Bearly any mods (turbo, inj.,chip)and another that hasn't gotten a good pass in yet, his best is 12.3 on street tires with a rebuilt motor(turbo ,inj.,chip, cam)so far.

I havent run my car yet but it's modded like the rest. Tune,Tune,Tune.....

You ever at TB.com?

Oh, another fact!

All 1,550 89 TTA pace car's were identical performance wise.

That's a car I'd love to have, for sure.

I watched one late last year at Cecil Dragway laying down mid 11s, looking very stock (it was a bolt-on car in reality, after talking with the owner). He was just KILLING the bolt-on and even most of the heads/cam LS-1 cars all day long. I recall the MPH being in the 120 range.

I love turbo cars. Easy to look stock but still go very fast.
