I would be very interested in seeing pics of bottles mounted in the rear storage compartment.

Schultzy - Everytime I see your car I'm impressed! What is the paint code for your car and the GM name of the paint. I have the same color but need the code. Thanks.

Anyone have any pics of bottles mounted in other parts of the interior, or on display on the rear shelf?

you only need 1 bottle for ur car enless ur running a large fogger system where u can go thru bottles really quick and have the second one there for a back up.

i wasnt going to have the second one hooked up i just wanted it there so it evend out the look in the back i still think it would look bad a$$ if thet were mounted ware the rear seats used to be bolted doun one on each side.

These are two alternative 3rd gen only mounting possibilities. This would allow many bottles to be mounted side by side. It makes the bottles easier to install/remove, reduces the chance of being "torpedoed" by your own bottle in an accident, and actually reduces the visability (but not 100%) by placing them down in the regular storage well. I think #2 is the most ideal, but both lower the chances of the pickup tube in the bottle being uncovered (causing surging) because the bottle is mounted almost completely-but not fully- upright.

Could you guys remove the bottle and take another pick or how you mounted the bottle in the spare tire well? I have mine there, but I got no clue of how to bolt it in.

Thanks.

When I used to have nitrous, the bottle was mounted on a flat plate. The plate bolted to the passenger side rear seat bottom bracket with two bolts. I also had a brass fitting through the floorboard for clamping the discharge tube to. This was the perfect location as I could easily turn around to check my pressure and turn on/off the valve.

Hey 12secgta, is that a electric nitrous gauge? if so does N.O.S. sell one like that or no? and would u think the NX one would work with an NOS setup? im guessin if i get the adaptor piece u got there where its bolted on to the bolt and have the correct -AN fitting it should work.

No, thats the transducer for my pressure controlled bottle heater.

As far as using a NX gauge on a NOS setup, as long as you have the right adapter (-4 gauge/purge adapter) it will work fine.

Chalk up another one for the spare tire compartment! Nice and out of the way of stuff, just make sure you either know AAA's number or bring the spare in the hatch.
