prices for the turbo units themselves can be found not only at precision (for race turbos) but also on e-bay (all kinds of turbos)

depends of what you want... t-25s are like $50 - $70. but they suck t3s are bit more. it all depends on where it comes from.

t-25s are too small for v8s. they are almost too small for 4 bangers (hence the cheap price). shrug your best bet is to go jy hunting.

Just about everything. Headers, custom intake piping, probably a built bottom end, modified carb or custom programmed computer, a tranny that can handle more power, same thing for a rear end

if you can get traction (ie running slicks), then i believe the answer would be a big negative

According to sphoon 400hp + slicks = BOOM. Turbos are progressive (no power off idle) so they aren't as hard on the drive train as a N/A or roots blown motor.

Yeah, but if you have an aftermarket stall or manual you kind of cancel that out because you can jump right into the powerband.

actually, if its a turbo car with no 2step you probably wont break the rear,

my roommate has an incon mustang, and he cant even get out of vacuum coming out of the hole, without a 2 step.

Two step? Are you referring to a sequential setup? Anyway, I have a thunderbird turbo coupe and it will put out a ton of boost off the line. I know thats not exactly the same thing since it is a stock setup, but on a v8, I would bet that you could still end up making boost off the line with a decent sized turbo because of the amount of exhaust a v8 puts out compared to a 4 cyl. Either way, you have to be careful with a 7.5" 10 bolt(especially in stock form) with slicks on it. They just dont have a lot of strength to them.

i have alot of friends with ls1's who have made tons of nitrous passes on slicks, hitting 1.5 60'.

im telling you bro, its hard to get boost off of the line without a 2 step rev limiter.

Sorry for my ignorance, but could you explain a two step rev limiter and how it helps you get boost off the line.

Also, what do nitrous runs have to do with turbos? Also are they all running stock 10 bolts with those 1.5 60 ft's? If they are they are brave. Also, the LS1's have a slightly larger ring gear than he does and also they have 28 instead of 26 spline axles. I would bet that if their rears are lasting through those kinds of 60 fts though that they are at least modified some(support cover, aftermarket gears, axles, ect...)
