got my procharger installed !!! but one problem, expirenced guys help me out

After many long hours of working, and reading and then re-reading following some more reading of the completely worthless installation manuall i finally got my procharger (d1sc) on, the car started up and ran fine cold, i never got into operating range because the belt keeps walking off the crank pully about 1/2 an inch, then it stops, of course every time i straighten out the belt, right after i start it up again it walks again.....so i shut her down. What could be the cause of this, is the belt too tight, too loose, is somthing wrong with the crank pully ? Im sure this has happend to lots of people, what should i do ?

Thanx guys, i cant wait to burn rubber hehehehehehehe : )

Check pulley alignment that could be your problem.

Which belt system do you have??? 8 or 12 rib??

I personally had to put a thin stainless steel washer(.030") on the top bracket mounting bolt (between the backside of the bracket and the long spacer)... actually slightly cocking the bracket...my belt was walking off the front of the pulley toward the radiator...

over 2000 miles now with no problems...and the shim is still there...

I only shimmed the one bolt. first i used a .060" washer and it caused the belt to walk toward the engine...so that's when i put the .030" washer in..and waaalaaa...it worked...Willlie did this first to stop his belt walk...

i cut the washer so it was like a u-shape, so i could slip it over the bolt without removing it...
