Legal to have a small fuel cell in the engine compartment

I doubt that could be legal any way you do it. What is wrong with a trunk mount?

If it is in the hatch i believe that you need a firewall to be track legal, so I would have to have a firewall custom made in the back of my car. I guess its doable.

umm it is legal. I run one and have never had any problems getting through tech. if you look at the other post about fuel cells you will see my pics up soon. I have somone posting them for me. It is also easier than a trunk or hatch mount. and it is cheaper.

its perfectly legal except in classes where it specifically states that a "liquid ballast" tank cannot be added. I guess they figure that fuel anywhere other than the fuel tank is construed as ballast. go figure.
