Need some advice on purchase

I'm considering buying this car:

It's a 355 SC convertible, the motor and tranny were rebuilt last year, it's detuned right now and running at about 4-6PSI, the paint is immaculately done in Viper red, brand new convertible top, most of the interior is been redone.

What would I be getting myself into if I were to purchase such a beast? Is this a bad or good idea? He's interested in trading me for my current IROC.

BTW...I've never owned a forced induction car, so thus my hesitation.

Axle/Gears: stock w/later 4th gen torsen pos
looks fine to me as long as it never needs emmissions checks, just make sure it has good subframe connectors and some very good air filter system not just one of those crappy edelbrock or weiand triangle sponge piece of crap filters...
