FMU or Not??

I have a heavilty modded 383 in my 89 Camaro. I'm getting a Vortech SQ-trim blower and wanted to know if someone out there is running without an FMU? I have a custom chip from TPIS and can get it reprogrammed. I'm running #24 injectors right now but will step up to may be #36. I know my friend with a mustang is doing this right now. Is it possible? Thanks

I have a 350 with afr heads, zz3 cam and a paxton sn2000 = 8psi boost. I added a larger fuel pump, 24lb injectors, and an fmu. The fmu made the best improvement. Now that i have a chip burner, I beleive that you can get around using the fmu by getting a proper tune with the injection duty cycles and by reading the BLM's through out the rpm range. This is going to take many MANY runs and data readings. I would do a search in the DIY prom section! Good luck!
