Positive Displacement Intercooler

Ok i think thats what its called does anyone know of a intercooler that is mounted on top of the engine and uses vents on the hood does anyone know if this works any better then the ones mounted behind the grille?

That would be a top mount IC and no they don't work better. FMICs are isolated form the heat of the engine and have cold air flowing over their entire surface. Top mount ICs have neither.
