12-1-2003: Finished up turbo headers

Okay so it isnt TOTALLY finished. There are some oil lines that need ran, some clamps that need installed. A few bolts to hold the turbo to the flange. But, the tubing is all welded up and ran where it needs to go. And the muffler needs hung. It could be started and driven down the strip as is though.

Okay here are some photos. This car will be out of my garage this weekend. Finally. LOL

Guido, Awesome job!!! You could probably make a good living at that! The headers that were on the Innovative Turbo camaro are for sale, if anyone is interested. Guido might have some competition.

I guess you could call it a 'customer's car' but I dont really consider myself in the business. LOL

Most of my car is sold off.

Given up on the the ole IROC and joined the LS-1 crowd?

What do you have left of the car and what are your plans for it?

It wasnt so much giving up and joining the LS1 crowd as it was having a new, nice reliable car. I was sick of dumping money into the race car, didnt have a really great daily driver and it was bothering me. Im looking to move out soon so a nice reliable car was what I was looking for and I found a nice one, with low miles on it that would still be a pleasure for a gearhead like me to drive everyday.

Someday Ill build another turbocharged beast.

I have not heard from him yet. He had some cleaning up to do before the car was ready to go. Rerouting some wiring and purchasing some clamps to get it all ready to go.

Just curious to know the results. Let me know what the outcome is if you can!

Got any pics of the whole car? What are the specs of the long block?

I'm taking it all apart. I'm taking the motor out this weekend. Putting a new callies crank in it along with cam and a few other things. It's a 383 bottom end...callies crank, eagle H beams, JE pistons, Crane cam, AFR heads, Accel carb/FI intake, Speedpro...etc. I'm selling some stuff out of the old motor if anyoens interested. I have a 383 scat series 900 crank for 2 pc block, along with a chrome external balanced fluid dampner, and flexplate all go together for 250 bux. Also selling the custom ground (by kenny dutweiller) hyd flat tappet turbo cam...100 bux (228/228 .492 lift on a 114). I'm having the turbo system Jet Hotted and cleaning up everything. It should go mid 9s next yr.
