ive got a big block in my 85 iroc and i think a turbo or two would go nicely with my current setup. has anyone seen any good setups lately or have any ideas? i dont know alot about them, im still learning, but i do know that i need a little help and it would be alot of fun. Im going to the library tomarrow to pick up a couple of books on turbos that were suggested in another thread. thanks for your input

 

if you can find a way to package it your a ***! its hard enough with an SBC... anything is possible though

custom headers is obvious, id get some to put a huge single up where the battery goes (like guido's) i cant imagine theres any room to do it much different

 

Banks did a BBC twin turbo third gen, I believe i a firebird. It was a top speed test car and used an air to water cooler as part of the carb inlet bonnet. Supposedly did 1 mph short of their 300mph goal! The exhaust downpipes actually went thru the back of the inner fenders, into the wheel well area, then connected to a nice y-pipe. There are pics of it in Corky Bell's book, Maximum Boost. Check it out.

BTW- it will take some serious fabricating skill to make it work, but the Banks pictures should help with the layout.

 

Oh yes, there was also an 89 TA from sweden recently posted on the board with a TT BBC. It was black and had 20" wheels. He also moved the brake booster and MC under the dash for more room. I'lll see if I can find you a link.
