Can cold start injector be used for water injection?

Transmission: 700R4 in both
Can cold start injector be used for water injection?
Has anyone explored using the cold start injector to spray water/methanol into the intake? Could it be ECM controlled by a 7749? I am running all the scenarios through my thick skull & they all seem good. I think if it was so easy it would have already been done, so could someone bring me back to reality?
Maybe someone on the diy-prom board could help too.
