The 12 rib was slipping. When I went to change the belts I found that the idler was destroyed from having the belt so tight. I already had made the cog setup for the D-1 so i figured i didn't have to pull it so tight and I had it so............Sombody had to try it, now we know FOR SURE it won't work instead of speculating.

I to see alot of slip with my 12 Rib and have been through several pullies (idler) cause of tension.

Mine has served my 10 second camaro for years, but slip has always been an issue (even though ATI says it should not be slipping w/a 12 rib) I'm sure you heard the same bs.

So how did you do it and how much was the cost? Any pics?
I have heard that there are reliability issues once converted as you seen, But still would not mind trying myself.

What broke? Impeller bearing?

A couple of dollars for sure.
I had the crank, blower pulley and idlers custom made. After drawing up the origional crank pulley i found someone to make it. The hunk of aluminum for the crank pulley alone was $150.00! I also have 3 bearings in the idlers now so hopefully that won't be a issue anymore. There has been many posts of getting these made but they never happened so I bit the bullet and had 2 sets made. Blownss has the other set. Here is the link to some of the pics, there are other pics in the project gallery:

So what would you sell them for? The cog pulleys that is. Do you think they would hold up to mild street/strip use?

Edit: would that setup work on an LT-1, being that is what i'm running.

Update With pics:
The bearing's are fine. It appears the impeller came in contact with the volute. To much RPM? I will have to chack out my math. But there is still hope for a cog on a P600b, I wonder what a new impeller costs.
