Nitrous pressure during run
Last night I went to the track to try the nitrous system. The night before I had the bottle filled, so it's all on a fresh bottle. After I purge the lines, the gauge reads 1000 PSI at the solenoids. After the end of first gear, it reads 600... and stays that way during the rest of the run. This is all in 90F degree heat. Is it normal for the pressure to drop that much?

Oh, and in case anyone's curious. My previous best on the motor was 14.3 @ 99. The last nitrous run I did was 14.2 @ 102. I'm running a 150 shot on an L98.

Well, you must mean 13.2 on the button. I run 14.298 at 97.665 mph on the motor and 12.62 at 111.987 mph (150 shot) on the juice. I think you should be in the 12's for sure.

A video of the run, and a comparison of the track prep are here.

Nevermind, found the problem. I couldn't even see through this fitting when I took it out. I was probably running a 20 shot. :P

You know I had the exact same problem about a month ago. That fitting is the filter and mine was the bronze type. Man was it plugged. I drilled a hole through it and went for a test ride. What a differance. Your gonna love it!. Its the 12's for you now. I ordered a new one ($15.00) and they have gone to a stainless steel screen type filter. If you think of it let me know how it runs.

Actually, the filter fitting you're talking about is in the front of the car (it had a small piece of rubber in it too.) This piece was *so* large, it wouldn't fit through the first fitting after the bottle opener.
