the pricing on kits
I'm a new to the turbo world and I found a site that sells turbo kit for thir gen camero www.bbsdesigns.net I don't know that much about turbo's so could someone take a look and tell me more about the turbo's they offer. I'm looking for a single turbo to go with my l98 with vortec heads, aftermarket cam looking to run 8 - 12 lbs of boost with ic. Would like to make in the area of 600lbs of tq keeping it streetable. The banks kit is way to expensive for me and this kit is only 2300 with turbo exhaust mainifold, with brakets and wastegate. No ic will have to buy one.

Yeah it sounds good but you still have to get the ic and do the piping and well are those turbo's they sell any good those are the things I need to know before I place my money on it.

The turbos with that kit may be slightly small, especially if you go for max performnce. Due to the space constraints, the turbos cannot be upgraded either, so keep that in mind (you may be able to have the housiongs machined for larger wheels, but a physically larger turbo will not fit). If you want max performance, look into the race TT kit.
That said, I believe they would support 600lb-ft of torque for a daily driver. My TT IROC used two turbos sized similarly to the ones in that kit, and produced 468lb-ft at the rear wheels at 6psi boost on a totally stock 89 L98. Mine were even junkyard turbos purchased off of eBay for $330. I made my entire system myself, and figure I had about $3k into it- remember that the turbos and manifolds are only a part of the total cost of turbocharging!
