Lt4 HOT cam and nitrous

I'm just about to purchase a lt4 cam for my vortec headed 350 that I also plan to spray with nitrous.
the engine will have forged pistons with about 9.5:1 compression, ARP main studs and rod bolts, but other than that just stock OEM parts

I've heard stories that the LT4 cams aren't great for nitrous because they dont' have the split pattern to them and they already work really well at build cylinder pressure.
does this cam therefore make nitrous tuning more difficult?

has anyone used the lt4 with a 100-150shot with success?

Seen many times with success. It's not the most aggressive cam in the world but it does the job

Stop listening to stories and get some facts.

A Lt4 hot cam is a good nitrous cam. It is a split pattern cam with more exhaust duration than intake duration.
at 112 LSA its just right for nitrous.

specs are 218/228@.050" .525"/.525" w/1.6 rockers 112LSA.
It will work just fine.
If you'd really like to make it work the best for you in your car , Then degree it in to find out what the installed intake centerline is at. A nitrous cam likes to be slightly more advanced in the motor. Somewhere around a 103 to 107 intake C/L should work well. The only way to tell is to try you cam in your motor in different positions an see what works best for you. (track testing)
You'll find out much more about what will work and what doesn;t on your motor by trying and testing then listening to nitrous folklore.
