Build & Swap or Swap & Build?
what you think guys build up & turbocharge my 305(201K+ miles) that i have in the car now and swap the parts over when i get my 350 or get a 350 and replace the tired old 305 then build up the 350 im looking for the most cost efficient way of doing this and i think it would be better to get a 350 block because all the work needed to run a turbo on the tired 305 would cost alot more than turbocharging the 350. what you guys think? thanks in advance

Why would it cost more to turbo the 305 than the 350?
I vote for build the turbo system for the 350, but on the 305 engine and blow it up. Then swap in the 350.

Man, you’ve barely said anything and you’re already giving me a headache…
Externally the 305 is IDENTICAL to every other small block of similar vintage, why would there be any difference in building a turbo setup for a 350 or 305???
As far as the rest of this goes… if I had a 305 I’d probably build it for it, and then when you blow it up I’d seriously consider building a serious 305 for it…. (wasting my breath, I know…)
