IAT threads?

What threads are the IATs for our cars? Specifically the V6 ones - I need to weld a bung, and drill/tap a hole to put my IAT in place.

Also, does anyone have a p/n for the IAT pigtail?

Thanks!

Can't help you with the thread dimensions. I had to modify the sensor's threads to fit in a non-3rd gen manifold.

While I don't know the IAT pigtail part number, I do know that the plug appears to be common with quite a few variations of GM's IAT/MAT sensors. I grabbed a pigtail off of late '80s/early '90s Sunbird at a local junkyard. Just pop the hood and take a look at the aircleaner....

I'm not 100% sure, but I think the IAT sensor is 3/8" pipe thread. I know it is pipe thread for sure, as I purchased a weld bung for my turbo cavvy and camaro projects at a local hardware store. And as stated above, that connector is very common (if your IAT is the same my cars have anyway)- the same connector is also used on the CTS. I pulled my connector from a spare harness we keep in our shop for just such occasions!
