I want to know how much juice someone is running on a BONE STOCK L98 motor, ive read they can handle 150 and thats pushing it, i just want to know if anyone has gone more than that and not blown the motor in like 2 weeks. I only plan on running a 100 shot, but its always nice to know what it can take.

 

100 is fine

 

i wouldn't worry too much if I put ina 175

 

175? wow that seems pretty hefty, since youd have to retard your timing like 7 degrees. plus then youd HAVE to have colder spark plus and bigger solenoids. nope im stickin to 100 maybe even only a 75 not too sure yet

 

I run a 125 shot fine all day, with no retard, but i also live a 4300asl

 

I run a 140 shot on mine it hade 112,000 on the motor, with only a head job done at 68,000. Caused by stuck thermostat. The motor was running fine when I took it out 4 months ago. the only adj I made was to run the fule pressure up to keep it rich. It cost me some on the HP but the motor was always happy. It is addictive.
