Who is the fastest with Edelbrock headers?

I am going to try to put in my 406 this winter. I presently have the edelbrock tes system. I know that these headers are supposedly crappy but does anyone have conclusive evidence? Who has gone really fast with these headers?

I would guess that my car is only marginally faster than yours is right now..... It is likely a 13.0 - 13.2 car at this point, with some damn traction.... grrrrr......

I know a guy that has a Minirammed 350 with the TES, with the A.I.R pipes still on them, and runs 12.8x N/A.....

Well, I am trying to do this on a budget. I know there are better headers out there. I just want to know how much pumping losses I am going to have.

The March 1998 issue of GM HIgh-Tech perfomance had a '91 z28 running 11.40's @ 116 mph n/a with 1 5/8 edelbrock shorties.

Wow! Imagine how fast it would be if it had real headers on it, instead of those 1 1/2" suckers. (the older ones are not really 1 5/8")

I picked up 2 tenths and a little over 1mph going from junk edelbrock headers to SLP 1-5/8" Tri-Y headers.....ON A 305!!! Please, dig a hole and bury those....don't put them on a 406!

If anyone has the Edelbrock's for sale, I'll buy them off you. I don't plan on going any bigger than my 89 LB9 305 so the edelbrocks will work nice. Let me know.
