well I am going with a new setup this year.I sold a bunch of stuff and my older suburban. I ended up going 406ci with a dart little m block, eagle crank, h-beam rods, srp pistons and file to fit rings for the bottom end. i switched from worked 220 heads to some new really worked afr 227 heads and a custom cam from david vizard. I also went to a gemini quad plate as well. I hope to be close to the 8's with this combo but who knows... I will be spraying 300 or so to try and get there...

 

hope your not planning on running that at headhunters!!! when you gonna make it down to reynolds? wouldn't mind meeting you. the combo sounds extremely potent. looking to go low 9's?

 

thanx man.. hell ya Im going to run at headhunters!!! they already go crazy when I run there.... I have been some 6.teens there I hope to be in the 5's this year. that track is fun as hell to me... I will be at reynolds for sure... I had my first 9'sec run there last year.... I got a best of a 9.72@142 I am hoping for some 9.0's this year.. we can meet there sometime that would be cool.... I am almost always with a white 86 z28 and a black 87 iroc.. the 86 runs low 9's and the 88 runs deep in the 10's

 

gonna be there tomorrow for the first saturday test-n-tune? i will be, want to get some times in with the new gears before i spend more money. we shook the tires so hard at headhunters in my dad's car a couple years ago that we beat a bearing out of the motor. we weren't really impressed w/ the track. that place scares me man....how much is it to run again???

i am going to be hitting friday nights up ALOT this summer, but i want to get a good bit in before i go in for shoulder surgery next month, then i won't be racing for about 6 weeks or more. my car is the one in my sig above. it's just a 305 but i am running well into the 13's. after new tranny/converter and some more lightweight parts, i hope to be in the low 13's. when i get another car, i will spray this one till it blows, then put a nice 355 in it. maybe you can help me w/ gettin a set of dart heads, eh? (hook a brotha up! LOL, J/K)

anyhow, i am always looking for local thirdgen nuts like me to hang with at the track too...if you don't mind a lowly 13 second 305 guy hang with ya!
