Help make 58mm Throttlebody flow better.

Well the car needs a monoblade, but I am not about to spend $500+ on one.
Currently using Holley 58mm and was wondering if anybody has tried methods to make it flow better..
I was thinking of Knife edging the blades and shaft, or having the blades milled some. Also though about sharpening the center divider some as well as radious the edges where it meets air intake tube.
Any Ideas or facts?

I don't know what improvements you will see but, I did some blending and polishing on my bbk 52mm.

I can't see you gaining any noticeable improvements out of a 58mm without boring it out, which I dont even think is possible. I would imagine the only way you're going to get the flow you need is out a monoblade. Gotta pay to play.

it's not as shinny as it was years ago but, you get the Idea. if you ever saw a bbk 52mm you would know just how big of a clean up I did. I was thinking about it and I guess if you blended the opening so it was even smoother than mine (like where the bore opening start) blend them in so well that you can't feel or see them then yes all togeather I bet you will see a few cfm (kinda like bowl blending heads just not as noticable)

I just replaced the screws that hold the blades on with 8/32 by 1/4 inch Allen head socket screws button head style. Quite a difference from the factory ones. Should flow a wee bit better with that mod. Remember the rule no turbulance allowed. Hehehe.

I have noticed that the wide open throttle stop is not quite wide open but close. I'm in the processs of fixing that. Remember the rule that every CFM counts.

I'm considering doing some blending. Especially the inside diameter to the outside where the hose slides over. Want to eliminate the lip and possible turbulance.

Looks like my warranty is heading South on my Holley 58MM throttle body. Hehehe. Allen
