carbed vette goes 10.26 @ 126....on a 200 shot

I ran the car at the local T&T on Sunday. Weather was sunny and 75 deg...

car weight with driver 3000lbs

1st run with my dynomax hemi super turbos ( 20" case..nice and quiet)

12.63 @ 106 1.82 60'

2nd run mufflers and pipes off ( i have a quick disconnect...10 min)

12.23 @110 1.80 60'

3rd pass dual stage. leaves on a 100 shot,1 sec out it goes to 200 total

10.26 @127 1.46 60'

I had a problem here. At the 900-1000 ' mark the lexan roof decided to leave the car, soaring as high as the timing lights, so about that time i let off. The roof was unhurt, just needs reglued.

this was with the stock rear rims 26X11.5X16 ET streets @ 12 lbs ( i did a 4" wheelie), front runners, the D-36 with 3.08 gears is still alive and making no noise. I think it has more in it, but i'll just run motor till the end of the season, then i'll bring the second kit in sooner and see what happens. I think it will go 128-129 MPH ?

I should have a video to post later this week

sounds pretty good, I think you can get 128-129 if you didn't have to let out early.

Now that is a crazy time for such a mild motor! I'm slowly saving up for Canfields and a solid roller... cant wait to see what they'll do in my heavy car on a 200 shot.

runs

turbotater,

dual stage cheater

47-47 on 1st stage, stock jetting on 210 level
6.5 psi flowing prior to fuel solenoid through big jet

28 deg total timing with 110 octane

NGK 9 series plugs..could be a 8 though

No , but i should rent it out huh ?

thanks

88iroc350 tpi,

I like your car. You can get the canfiels 195's or 215's from competition products for $1050 delivered , set up for hyd or solid cam..not sure how much a roller would cost ?

thanks guys

85 lbs weight loss and the jetting.

when i went 10.9 i didn't use the spray off the line, rather i turned it on after the car left ( maybe 30 ft out) on the 10.2 run i sprayed the 100 shot off the line, expecting the 1.55 60, but i guess with the 200 total coming in at 1 sec out i bettered that . 1.46. I did let off as the roof flew off, but i was only 100-150 feet away from the line, so the ET won't change much, but the MPH will go up.

The only car I ever built that went about as fast as yours was an old Chevelle runnign a 454 with a single stage fogger nitrous system. It ran a 10.2 on it's best day but MPH was in the mid-low 130s. But my car couldn't lauch as well as yours. I recall my 60 foot times being in the 1.6 range.

You'd be surprised how big a difference there can be in MPH when you let out 100+ ft. from the line. The way they calculate your MPH is an AVERAGE over the last 60 feet of the track. Still accelerating the last 100 feet vs. decelerating the last 100 feet can make a 4+ MPH difference pretty easy. I wouldn't be surprised if you nudged up against 130 on a good run, staying in it the whole way.

i'ne read and heard if the car is set up properly it will pick up between 21-24 MPH in the 2nd half of the track ? I went 105 in the 1/8th 6.57.

I don't know why it 60's so well, it's a completly stock suspended 135K mile corvette on ET streets ? I do have the front sway bar off and i do a few more tricks for weight transfer, but that's about it.

Nice times! last time I saw that car it looked like alot of weight redux? i remember no air, and etc, etc. Weight?

Also, this d36, a fuel type? does it need more octane or are you using this for safety?

the car weight with 160 lb driver is 3000 lbs, so yeah it's pretty light. The D-36 is the stock Dana 36 rear end
