Combined power adders - SC/turbo & nitrous
Please post up your combo if you're using both forced induction AND nitrous on your car. A little info in getting them tuned to run smoothly together would help also.
I've got a twin turbo setup running about 14psi that runs pretty well. I'd like to get some opinions on having maybe a 100 shot of nitrous for a little extra "insurance" when there's money on the line. I have a limited knowledge of nitrous setups, i know having a WOT switch and a window switch are important etc, but of course i would do all the homework before venturing down this path.

You got turbos running at 14 psi on a small block chevy and you still need insurance? Man what the heck do you plan on taking on? Why not just add more boost?

With any forced induction system though, the name of the game in surviving the pressure is keeping detonation down. Your gonna have to add more fuel while you dump the NO2 into the motor and possibly retard the timing while you do the shot. You just got to figure out what you can get away with with out the deadly pinging. Nitrous has the real tendency be extra detonation prone, worse than turbo boost, because of the sudden burst of compressed air into the chamber. Most turbo guys using NO2, use it to help spool up the turbo faster.

I did a little more searching elsewhere and found a little info, and the more i think about it, the more i believe it may be better just to crank up boost a little bit. The only time that nitrous would be the only way to help is by using something like a 50 shot down low to help from the area just off idle to the boost threshold.

Same principles apply, you need to know what you can get away with without detonation. Why not get a more agressive pully on the S/C if you wanna up the power?
