I had that problem before with a mustang and it turned out to be a fuel problem.

Put a fuel pressure gauge on it. Not exactly sure how much fuel pressure you should have but it should be like 70 to 90 psi. under boost. Did the vacuume come undone between the fmu and the intake?

That sounds really low. Cause stock pressure is like 40lbs. How much boost are you running?

I dont have a gauge on it but when I firt put it on i put on different size pullies so if you want i can loook tomorrow and see what size pully ihave on it, at this point i never kept my foot in it cause it started stuttering/ breaking up really bad so, Im gonna trust your judgment and see if the fmu is messed up thats gotta be it??? new plugs wires distributor and still the same thing......

I would belive so. Check your spark plug gap. You might be blowing out your spark. But I think its fuel. The pressure seams way to low. I had this same problem with a mustang and we had 60 psi fuel pressure and it still did the same thing. What kind of fuel pump / pumps are you running.

my car was breaking up starting around 3000-3500 (part and full throttle) when I first put the turbos on it. turns out it was the knock sensor (for the most part). It was taking out like 13 degrees of timing and it wasn't even knocking. I disabled the knock sensor and it still started to break up at 4500, it was a little rich. I leaned it out to 12.5:1 air/fuel ratio. and it runs great. I'm taking out on average 2.5 degrees of timing per pound of boost to keep it safe at 8psi. On the Vortech website it says the FMU with the kit makes an 11.5:1 AFR. I'd leave it there probably.

Check with vortec but I am almost 100% sure you dont have enough fuel pressure. This may be a dumb question but when was the last time you changed your fuel filter?

Oh shoot I forgot. Were you checking fuel pressure at idle or were you driving with a fuel pressure gauge on the car. Cause you need to drive it and when it falls on its face whats the fuel pressure at?

yeah it could be. I recomend changing your fuel filter like every 20000 miles. But I am sure the fuel pressure is to low. Are both fuel pumps working?
