Procharger Cog conversions ?

I have a p1sc and am tired of belt slippage...

Who sells cog setups to convert from 8 rib setup?

Possibly looking to go this route.

I ordered mine from ASP Racing to convert my Vortech. They are custom made, I don't see why they couldn't make them for your set-up. Its been two weeks since I ordered mine, when I get them, I'll post a picture. Cost was $620.00.

I used ASSC as well. Best conversion I ever made. Its $$ but I will never use another supercharger without cogs again.

When I was dealing with procharger on the danger mouse series I asked for a cog setup. I told them the goal was between 700-800hp. They said the 12 rib will be just fine. "Until you make 1000+ HP dont waste your time" Ok, I said. well the motor made 780 and there wasn't a sign of any slippage.

What a damn outrage!! The 8 and 12 rib systems are crap. I had a friend in town with a 12 rib who had all kinds of problems with slippage and he was only pushing around 500hp. You could watch his boost gauge just stop pulling as his rpm's increased. I fought belt slippage for so long that eventually I forked over the $$ and went to the cogs. ITS A NIGHT AND DAY DIFFERENCE!! WORTH EVERY PENNY!! Its a wonderful feeling not worrying about over tightening belts, snapping the nose of the crankshaft, or having to tell people after a race that your belts slipping.

Is it possible that some people just don't install their belts correctly? I'm not saying that belt slippage does not accure, sure it does. But when the manufacture of the product kicks down a 5K system and tells you that it's not nessesary to use a cog setup till you reach X amount of HP, then what do you do?

Id buy that. Prochargers instructions are crap and its probably very likely that some people are assembling them/tightening them wrong. However, I can personally vouch for myself and a friend who had CONSTANT problems with belt slippage at high rpm's. I bought my system new for about $3500 bucks and I would have been more than willing to pay for the cog upgrade. IMO 5k is a ton of money and the cogs should come standard at that price.

CRZYTRN-92Z28,

Hey man, what are the specs on your engine? I am looking to build about the same amount of power with the the same supercharger as you.

What mods did you have to do to your fuel setup?

Thanks bro,

Bill
