Nitrous question-for 305 tbi

i have a 1990 camaro rs with a 305 tbi, it has about 95,000 miles on it, and other than bad valve seals is in good condition(about a 1/2 quart of oil between changes).

My question is this: If i add nitrous, am i just going to blow the motor up after a couple of hits? I was thinking of about a 50-100hp hit, how much can the motor handle(and still be reliable)?

As far as mods i have intake,headers,exhaust,ignition,3.73 gears, shift kit, fast chip prom, suspension, etc.

Any opinions anyone can offer would be appreciated. I want some more power, but would also like to have this engine last another 1.5-3 yrs.

When adding nitrous i assume it would also be wise to put on an AFPR correct?

thanks for the help.

your good for a 100 shot and probably 150 shot just make sure you use it above 2500 rpm and have it set at wot only . Check your fuel supply to make sure you can supply enough gas. Good luck and remember to use it only when needed otherwise you scare the money away.
