How's this engine build sound?

I'm still in the process of slapping together a rebuild on the LT1 and am looking for some input from those of you that have built engines with high horsepower in mind. My relative goal is to reach over 500 rwhp when all is said and done with the aid of a 12psi blower. Here's the list for what I've got going into the RS (Radical Sleeper)

GM 1053 forged 3.48" 1pc
Childs & Albert 5.7" Trackmaster 4340 forged rods
TRW 21cc forged dished pistons
King alecular bearings
Plasma-moly file-fit rings
Melling HV oil pump
Milodon billet 4-bolt splayed main caps

GTP Stage 2 LT1 heads (295cfm @ .060)
2.00/1.56
dual valvesprings (probably Comp)
ferrea valves
Trick Flow chrome moly .080"wall 5/16 1pc pushrods
Crane 'R' series lifters
AFR hydra-rev kit
Custom grind cam - 226/234 .554/.545 114
Comp Pro Magnum 1.6/1.5 rockers
Intake port-matched to heads and opened at mouth to accept up to 58mm tb
AFPR
#30 SVO injectors
SLP 1 3/4" headers w/ y-pipe
3" cat and piping through dynomax w/cut-out
4.10s
and an ATI D-1sc 12psi intercooled blower coming in 1 or 2 more seasons.

I'm feeling that that is a pretty good layout, solid enough to take some abuse and make some serious power when all is said and done.

Any comments or suggestions for better parts in any areas?

i think you'd get more help on the power adder board so i'll move it there.

i would honestly use a 4340 forged crank. i am not sure if 1053 forging is weaker or stronger (think weaker) but with 500rwhp you are looking at almost 700hp on the motor and you need a strong bottom end for that. i know that you can get nice ones for around $650 which is not bad. Eagle i think. that is what i am going to use in my twin turbo set up that i am planning on having 1000hp. Also, i have heard good and bad things about GTP, i would look into agostino racing in canada. i have a friend with minor bolt on's on heads ported by him and he is running 12.50's in a 6 speed. also, you need a cam that big to use those flow numbers, remember that.

I have a question
If you put splayed 4 bolt main caps are they as strong as a 4 bolt main block. I need help because Im going to be building a 355, that I want to have 750 hp with a 16 psi D-1 procharger.
BTW: 89PROCHARGEDROC I have never heard of an Eagle forged crank. they have a website?

splayed is better/stronger than normal 4 bolt because it goes in at an angle. never heard of eagle forged? go to www.ptperformance.net have rotating assemblies ready to go

I went with the GM 1053 because at the time I got into this and even today there is no 4340 forged 3.48" 1pc rear main seal crank. The GM one is the only piece available. I believe that Callies or Scat used to have one but not anymore. If you look into it, 95% of what's availalbe out there as a 1pc rmc are 3.75" and 3.85" stroker cranks. So maybe next time I'll stroke the engine For now I'm happy with what I've got because other than my cousin david who's using the same crank in his racecar (some sort of restrictions to factory spec parts) and spins it above 7000rpm for the duration of a race, I've also done research and several guys with very similar setups to mine have been successful with the crank while putting down 580 rwhp - just a BIT more power than I intend to make with this engine. That would equate out to roughly 682hp or more and my final goal is high 500s / very low 600s.

Besides, I may finish this engine and be fine with 450 for a long time. Especially since I am going to need to rebuild the tranny and eventually step up to a larger rear. THEN I can start thinking about putting that 9 or 12psi blower in front of the engine
