Shot nitrous for first time- What a rush

Finally got it installed two nights ago. Went out and shot it. I used the 100Hp shot. It was not totally what I expected, but I still love the rush. Would I be pushing it to go to the 150 shot?

Oh by the way. don't know if you know this but don't run platinum plugs with juice. i had the factory platinums and couldn't run but 8.58@79 mph. i changed to delco r42lts and ran 8.48@80 mph.

You could run a 150HP shot, but your engine isn't going to live very long so I would suggest not to. When you start to run that much spray you need forged pistons and rods for it to hold up.

I've been spraying my 91 Mustang with either 150 or 200 shot for the last 1 1/2 years and haven't had a motor related problem yet. It still has the origional bottom end with 180K miles on it. If you do the right things and I've learned the hard way, you should not have problems note: each car is different and react differently. But if you use common sense like enough fuel pressure and enough gas in your gastank, plugs gapped for nitrous, and the timing retarded properly.

One day when the new motor is ready, I will attempt to break the 5.0 with as much nitrous as I can 350 shot or more.

With 200-shot it ran 10.98 @123.

I am using a 150HP shot on a 175,000 miles 350TPI. Use 2 steps colder plugs,Gap them around.035" maybe back the timing down alittle ,unless unleaded racing fuel is in the tank. Just don't hit the bottle until 3000rpms or more. Make sure your fuel pump and filter is in excellent shape. Read your plugs in the very beginning until everythin is sorted out.

The early model stangs came with factory Forged pistons until 92 or 93 (I think).

Do you have a nitrous pressure gauge?

N2O kits like 900psi, Nitrous Express likes around 950-1000psi.
