I'm building a 383cid stroker blower engine. I was wondering if a Scat 4130 forged steel stroker crank could handle around 800 horsepower, as that is what I am aiming for? Thanks

i doubt it. i've had soem bad experiences before. i'd use lunati crank, or even all lunati parts for the rotating assembly.

800 hp is a lot of power. Like I mentioned a few posts down, rpm is really what kills the rotating assembly, not horsepower. If you make your 800 hp at 5000 rpms, then it should (cough cough) make it through dyno tuning
If this is going to be a 6000+ rpm motor, it is iffy. Just my few cents...
If ya want to learn about it - pick up David Vizard's book on SBC Rotating Assemblies. Lots of great info, and well worth it.

Thanks everyone. I found an Eagle 4340 forged steel crank anyway, so, I should be covered. -=)
