Is supercharging a 305 worth it?
My 305 is a pretty srtong motor, that is until you race a '99 SS Camaro and get spanked. Is it worth supercharging a 305?

I hate to toot my own horn, but I have only lost to one street-legal, emissions legal car; and it was also a 305. You can't imagine what it feels like to be the underdog (at least in the opponent's eyes), only to blow them away. So to answer your question, YES it is worth it!!

It all depends on your goal and budget for me when I first got my car nitrous equiped I thought I was the man but later on the speed bug bite got me (and all of you know what I'm talking about) and I wanted to go faster but the 305 had limitations that I wanted to exceed, so it was time to bulid a motor that would satisfy my need for speed. and that is the goal to take it to the next level if you are a racer as long as your buget allows you to. but if you can save time and money to do it in order mine was 11's so if I had not bulid nitrous first on a motor I wasn't keeping and built my motor first then maybe I would have been better off IMO. I guess I'm trying to say happiness with you car come in stages work toward each step that will lead you to you ultimate goal(in speed) without side tracking.
