The rail is as good a place as any.
You can istall it anywhere in the fuel system after the fuel filter, and before the fuel solenoid. A lot of people just install it anywhere inline between the fuel pressure test port on the fuel rail and the solenoid. NX has a small manifold that has a #4 AN female on one end, a #4 AN male fitting on the other and a 1/8" NPT female port in the middle. You can disconnect your braided fuel feed hose at the fuel pressure test port or at the fuel solenoid and install it inline there. They are also available with #6 AN fittings, but the stock pressure test port (on TPI) is # 4.
I'm using two of these. One is directly on the fuel pressure test port for an electronic fuel pressure gauge sender. One is directly on the inlet of my fuel solenoid for the fuel pressure safety switch.
You can see a picture here, http://www.geocities.com/irockz4me/i...pics/eng2.html
You can't directly see the adapters but you can see how they are plumbed, & the sender & switch. The adapters look like the silver aluminum nitrous filter that is on the inlet of the nitrous solenoid, but they are a little smaller.
