Vortech w/ injectors
Vortech w/ injectors
does anyone know if the vortech supercharger(1990 TPI 305) comes with a new set of bigger injectors with the kit? also, does it come with a higher flow fuel pump as well?
thanks a lot guys

No injectors. I believe they use a FMU (fuel management unit) which is a terrible way to increase fuel delivery.

It does not come with new injectors. They would not be needed for a stock engine application. It does come with a supplementry inline fuel pump. I believe it puts out 28gph at 70psi. I highly suggest a adj. fuel pressure regulator if you dont already have one.

The kits are designed to be compatible with the stock components on the car. And they work well in those situations. Yes, you can always upgrade. And with a blower once you feel the rush and hear the whine, you're hooked, and theres no turning back. I know. Check out my car at www.sc3gfb.org Jeff Kelloggs 89 Iroc, members section.
thanks a lot guys, l really appreciate the responses, lve also got 150 horses of nitrous running through it, so l'd definately need an adjustable regulator, and l'll definately need a pump and bigger injectors if l were to supercharge it.

Right now I'm running 50 lbs. at wot. Thats with the stock 22lb injectors. I do have some 24lb SVOs on the workbench, but have to get a smog test this month, so I'm waiting to put them in.I was also going to upgrade to a T-rex pump at the same time. The car seemed like it wanted more fuel after 5000 rpm, so its time for a change. The 22lbrs. served me well to a point. With superchargers that "point" can easily be crossed.
