Vortech S-trim with 9:1 compression?
Looking for input here... how does a Vortech S-trim on a 355 L98 with a superram, AFR heads with 9:1 compression and forged pistons sound?
I have an opportunity to get a very good deal on said supercharger and I'm going to be ordering my AFRs soon, so I thought I'd get your opinions

Thanks for the input folks.
I already have a 52mm TB, 1.6:1 RRs, MSD ignition, 24# injectors and will be installing my 1 5/8" headers, high-flow cat and cat-back as soon as the headers arrive back from PBM.
Basically I wanted to know if what I'm thinking would be OK for this combo. With 72cc heads I'll be running right around 9:1 compression. With 64cc heads I'm up to 9.75:1 which is probably a little too high for non-intercooled boost.
Thanks again

With a D1SC, three-core intercooler and 8.912 to 1 compression, I have run seven pounds without timing retard. I have however injected a small amount of additional fuel via Superfueler. My best with five pounds of boost is a 12.26 @ 113.55 mph.
I have yet do take it any further, but here is my plan:
Water injection at eight pounds of boost and any additional fuel needed to retain full timing. Hopefully, this will take me into the mid-11's. My last resort is to retard timing.
So I would say that nine to one compression is VERY workable.

Former Paxton (6-psig) & former 50-hp nitrous: 12.04 @ 114 mph.
Current ATI D1SC (Initially 10-psig): Projecting high 11's.
Future ATI D1SC (15-psig): Gotta catch them pesky 26-psig boosted TTA's!!
