Performance chip w/ Nitrous?

I was interested in getting a Hypertech performance chip for my 1992 Camaro RS, but I'm running a 125 HP NOS kit for my 305 TBI. Now, I heard that they can custom tune chips for you, and I even e-mailed Hypertech about it. They said for me to call them, and they would handle it. So I call, and the guy on the other end doesn't seem very..eh..intelligent. I tell him right off the bat I'm looking for a chip compatible with nitrous..and he says "Nope, we can't help you there, buddy. Sorry!" So, does anyone have any ideas of what to do? Is getting a chip even worth it? Are there other, reliable sources for a chip compatible with my nitrous? Thanks!

I had a 150 nos kit on my vett and it had the stage 3 hypertech chip. I had no problems however, the main thing you need to look out for in this situation is DETONATION.
If you gonna spend the cash on a new chip, you can fax all of you enging info to Airzona Speed and Machine. Include all upgrades & size of engine. They make a chip that for nitrous that is set for max perfomrance on and off the gas! You hook a wire from the chip to the nirto cylinoid...when you are on the laughing gas, the chip retards the timming so absolutly no detonation occurs. If i remember right, they cost about 400 bucks.

I have heard both sides that is has caused probs and hasn't... I personally think if everything is in tune and the timming is right you can do it, but be carefull, just don't go ***** out...

If it helps any, I have a 92 Z, with a 5151 wet 150 shot NOS along with the Hypertech thermomaster chip. No problems at all, runs great.

The chip helped me (with out NOS) from 14.2 down to 13.9, so its worth it. With my NOS, I am pulling high 12's.

Good luck
