90 T/As had my pissy motor? what the hell?
Yeah we're in the same boat. There's basically NOTHING we can do to our engines to make them nearly as fast as a nice 350 (well according to the tech guys- so i'd have to agree). There's always nitro, but you risk forever ruining your engine- and its only temporary horsepower.

People say get a new camshaft, because its the cheapest gain, replacing our peanut cam. God it sucks to have a 305TBI.

Hey guys, my birthday is in a few weeks... Anyone wanna get me a 350 TPI or better?

red rocket, what kind of budjet are you on? would it not be an option to put off modding your car and saving for a 350? if not.. there are things you can do which dont cost that much or are free, but especially with a 305 and tbi at that, any mods you do will produce less 'noticable' (will be less effective) power than with a 350. some really common cheap/free mods are any porting of the heads using a dremel tool and various fittings for it(i've never done it but plenty of guys on here have), a cam, gears, stall converter(these two wont help your hp, but will give you more of a mechanical advantage),a performance exhaust, any valvetrain work will help , but not a lot. anyways, if you want more specifics on any of these say so - Josh
